He
started out as the leader (and bass singer) of the Rock n’
Roll Legends’, “Sha Na Na”, which led them
to a long run on NBC television.
Now, Bowzer’s taken his “Rock ‘n’ Roll
Party” on the road, and the show offers something for
everyone! Bowzer’s comedy routines go right to the
heart of the 50’s and 60’s, as his unique reminiscences
about everything from the cafeteria ladies to air-raid drills
leave ‘em young and old, rolling in the aisles! Others
marvel when Bowzer calls on his Julliard musical training and
flexes some flabbergasting pianistic muscles on “Bumble
Boogie”.
Still others are wowed by the talents of “Bowzer and the
Stingrays”, whose youthful blend of musicianship and movement
runs the gamut from Bowzer’s trademark, “Blue Moon”,
to “Shout” to “Do You Love Me (Now That I
Can Dance)” to the most right-on acappella version of
“I Wonder Why” you’ve ever heard. And
all with the same precision choreography and special sense of
humor Bowzer brought to Sha Na Na!
And everyone roars at the “Bowzer’s Rock ‘n
Roll Party” Dance Contest, the ultimate in audience participation!
