The Del Vikings

In 1955, five fellows formed a singing group while stationed with the U.S. Air Force in Pittsburg Pa.
Sitting at the piano in the NCO club, Sgt Clarence Quick wrote a song titled “COME GO WITH ME” They recorded the song for FEE-BEE Records in Pittsburg and it became an instant hit.

In January of 1957, DOT Records purchased the recording and released it nationally and signed the group to its label. That same year DOT Records had the group record and release “WHISPERING BELLS” and “SUNDAY KIND OF LOVE”; 2 mega hits of that era.

Founder Clarence Quick who was also the author of the groups passed away in 1983, leaving “Sweet” Lou Velez in charge of the group.

Today, “Sweet” Lou and Arthur “Kookie” Martinez who are all members of the group over 30 years along with Ron Coleman and Reggie Walker (Formerly of the Del-Roys) along with Les Levine still have that great ORIGINAL Doo Wop Rock & Roll Sound that made the group so popular back in the day.

This group is one of the most requested groups from that era and are a valued addition to any package or as a stand alone act... “THEY ROCK THE HOUSE” BIG TIME!.
